New Micromax Android phone with Aisha for Rs 8490

Micromax has announced the launch of its “Superfone A8″ for Rs 8490.

The A80 Infinity features a 9.525cm full touch screen and runs on Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). The dual SIM phone is powered with an 800 MHz processor, has a 2500mAh Li-ion battery and also features the much talked about voice assistant Asha – India’s very own answer to the iPhone’s Siri.

According to a previous release by the company, Aisha can translate words into action. A statement by the company says,
The users can connect with the people, businesses and activities that are important to them with AISHA if they need to check the weather conditions and for example all they just need to ask is ‘What is the weather in Delhi’ and AISHA will respond saying ‘The weather will be sunny.’ To start using AISHA, an internet connection and a Google account is required. Once the internet connection has been configured on the phone, just tap on Aisha to bring up the Aisha interactive screen and you can start issuing voice commands

The device also sports a 5.0MP camera with flash, that also comes with multiple camera settings such as night vision setting, multi shot option, camera censor and multiple video recording formats.
