On the occasion of the
beginning of the Navratra season, Byond Tech, one of the major players
in the mobile phone industry, launched an exciting range of Tablet PC in the Indian market named as the 'Mi book' series.
At the occasion, Subhash Mutha, chairman, Byond Tech Electronics Pvt Ltd, said, "For tablets and smartphones, we have invested around $10 million the investment is likely to get doubled within a year. With three-and-a-half years of experience in telecom business, we are planning to be an aggressive player in android phones and tablet PCs."
Prashant Bora, CEO, Byond Tech Electronics, added, "We have brought to India, the biggest range of tablets, under one brand, with 10 versions of MI Book as we call it, with prices ranging between `4300-`11000." He added, "For the first time in India, Byond has launched a series of laplets that contain tablet with a portable attached keypad. The company is targeting sales of more than 1 million tablets a year and a market share close to 15% to emerge as a leading player in the market. The Mi book series will comprise tablet PCs with seven-inch screen tablets, tablet with sim card facility and nine and ten inch wide screen tablets."
The product includes unique features like Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS 3D video and gaming, kinetic scrolling touch pad, capacitive 5-point multi touch screen, display resolution 800x480 pixels and laplet series with unique keypad attachment.
Bollywood star Zarine Khan unveiled the new B50 smartphones at a fashion show along with Manish Jain, director, sales, Byond Tech. Zarine said, "I just can't imagine being without a mobile, and Byond offers the right solution with the latest and innovative range of tablets and smartphones. The Byond range of mobile phones has opened doors to a whole new mobile experience at unbelievable value."
